All EBSF_2 demonstration teams have met since the start of the project to set up their implementation plans and to define the specific technical innovations to be tested.
The demonstration launch events brought together all local partners and define the objectives, success criteria, vision, technical architecture and roles of partners and beneficiaries. This was the case for Paris area where all local partners met to discuss the two innovation areas to be tested on 40 buses during the project: IT standard introduction in existing fleets and intelligent garage and predictive maintenance. This was followed by a tour of the Transdev Strav depot in the suburbs of Paris, Limeil-Brévannes. In Donostia – San Sebastian, all local partners assembled to discuss their tasks, working procedure, next meetings and methodology of the demonstration. The meeting was followed by a tour of the Irizar factory. In London, all local partners presented their objectives, success criteria and next steps. TfL will introduce a standardized IT architecture that will allow their bus fleet to directly communicate with the back offices.
All demonstration leaders have also been actively working with the project evaluation team to define the test scenarios and the evaluation framework so they can assess the achievements of the project. Risks which may affect the test quality and mitigation actions has also been identified by the demonstration leaders.
